This page explains which cookies AssetRent Capital uses, what each one is for, and how to switch off the ones the site can do without.
Cookies are small text files that websites store in your browser. They are used to remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and help us understand how you use our platform so we can improve it.
We group them into the three categories you see in the cookie notice. Maps have their own section below. Most count as essential, because they only load on pages that show a map; Google’s map on a property page, though, waits until you ask for it.
These are essential for the website to function correctly. They allow you to log in, navigate between pages, and use basic features. Without them, the platform cannot work. They do not collect personal data for commercial purposes.
cf_clearance, __cf_bm, and only during that check or under a rate-limiting rule cf_chl_rc_* and _cfuvid; they do not appear on a normal visit), and your cookie choice, which is kept in your browser rather than in a cookie. If you open a demo valuation someone has shared with you, we also keep a note that this browser has already used it (dsl_ followed by the link code, 30 days), so opening it again does not count as another use.Maps are drawn by Mapbox and, on some portal pages, by Google Maps. For a map to appear, your browser has to request the image tiles from them, and that request carries the coordinates of the point being drawn and, as with any connection, your IP address, but not your name, your email or your account. The Mapbox library keeps a copy of the tiles it has already downloaded in your browser, so it does not fetch them again every time you pan around.
On a public property page, its shared link and valuations someone shares with you, Google’s map and Street View stay hidden until you press "Cargar el mapa" (load the map) or "Cargar Street View": until then your browser does not contact Google. Pressing it, with the notice in front of you, gives us permission to load it while you stay on that page, and it also covers Street View for that property. Google then receives your IP address and the property’s location, and may use its cookies under its own terms. If you do not press it, there is no Google map. You can also open the location straight in Google Maps, in another tab.
These help us understand how the website is used: which pages are most visited, how long is spent on them, and whether there are errors. They do not carry your name or email: Google groups your visits under a random identifier that lives in the cookie, and Google Analytics 4 does not store your IP address. It uses it when the visit arrives to work out the country, region or city, and then discards it.
These would be used to show you advertising based on your interests. We do not currently use any, so ticking this box does not switch anything on. If we ever did, we would say so here first and they would only work with your permission.
You have several options to control cookies:
On your first visit we show a notice where you can accept them all, keep only the essential ones, or choose which categories to enable. You can change your choice whenever you like from "Cookie settings", in the footer of every page and in the portal’s side menu. Your choice lasts 24 months; after that, or if we change the cookies we use, we ask you again.
All browsers allow you to block or delete cookies from their settings. Please note that blocking essential cookies may cause some website features to stop working properly.
Google Analytics does not load until you accept analytics cookies. Without that permission your browser sends Google nothing, not even the cookieless pings it uses for modelling. Once you accept, we use Google Consent Mode v2 to tell Google what you have allowed, and the advertising signals always stay off. Even with your permission, we never measure the portal or pages whose address is a personal link, such as a password reset, an invoice or a property someone shared with you. We also serve the fonts from our own server, so no request goes to Google that way either.
